I work best with adults, adolescents and families experiencing challenges and feel under pressure by multiple issues. Often the solution is to shift subtle patterns of relating to make significant impacts for the individual or the whole family. I notice when people find the courage to talk about their concerns, they discover more powerful, less obvious needs to mend. I focus my attention on those patterns to help individuals and families find their strength and balance again. Working with families, I have developed a strong grasp of adolescent and adult needs. I use structural, humanistic, and cognitive behavioral therapy interventions. Counseling is a healing process which depends on one’s willingness to engage with the counselor in openness. Healing happens at different rates and for different reasons for everyone. It often is not a simple answer or solution. Therefore, counseling is most effective when sessions are attended on a regular basis over a period of time.
